The Bardonecchia area has also preserved the remains of a number of ancient castles, such as the the Fort of Bramafam. This fortress was built in the nineteenth century to defend the entrance to the railway tunnel and the castle of the Ancient Lords of Bardonisca. Situated in Borgo Vecchio, it is also remembered as the Tour d'Amount, and it still retains a small part of the central tower and the foundations of the corner towers.

The Hotel Asplenia is located close to Bardonecchia's Palazzo delle Feste e dei Congressi" which throughout the year hosts a number of conferences, exhibitions, plays and concerts of national and international repute.
Bardonecchia is above all an important winter holiday resort, with 23 ski lifts and 140 km of ski slopes. The landscape is also ideal for mountain climbing, hiking and all manner of excursions.
